Dr. Ankit Sharma completed his M.B.B.S. from the prestigious GMC - Jammu. After a brief but inspiring work experience in Wockhard Hospital, Nagpur, he decided to undergo super speciality training in Neurosurgery watching the selfless work of Dr Kelkar, Dr Kurve.
Dr Ankit Sharma underwent Super Speciality DNB Neurosurgery training at JCI approved, State of the Art Fortis Hospital, Bengaluru. His mentor Dr DV Rajakumar is a world-renowned Minimal Access Brain and Spine surgeon. Under his guidance for 8 years Dr Sharma brings to us a world of experience in dealing with Complex Brain and Spine pathologies using 3DMicroscope, Endoscope, Minimal Access techniques, Awake Brain operations and Intra-surgery real time Navigation.
Thereafter Dr Sharma worked in NCR with the leading Neurosurgeons of the country Dr V S Mehta, Dr Sumit Sinha at Paras Hospitals (Gurugram) and Dr Rana Patir, Dr Sandeep Vaishya (FMRI- Gurgaon). He further polished and refined his skills under the brilliant Neurosurgeons of NCR and learnt the true ethos of neurosurgical patient care. He also attended AIIMS special skills labs for experience in Microvascular surgery, Neuro-Endoscope and High-Speed Drill.
Dr Ankit Sharma further went to Sapporo Teishinkai Hospital, Japan for Advanced Clinical training in Cerebrovascular / Skull base surgery. There, the giants of Stroke- Bypass surgery in Japan; Dr Kamiyama & Dr Tanikawa successfully instilled the principles of Brain Aneurysm and Microvascular anastomosis surgery with the legendary Japanese precision.
He is a very academically oriented medical professional with many publications in national and international peer reviewed journals like Neurology India, Operative Neurosurgery etc with high impact factor. He has presented papers frequently in NSI and other conferences of repute. He is a lifetime member of prestigious Neurosurgical societies like NSI, AANS and CNS.
