The Patel Hospital Pain Management Centre is established with the mission to
improve the quality of lives of patients with chronic cancer and non-cancer
pain. The objective is to restore function and manage chronic pain, using a
multi-pronged approach by addressing medical, physical and psychological aspects
of pain

We assist patients
suffering from pain caused by a variety of conditions. Some of these pain
syndromes includes, orofacial pain, neck and back pain, herniated discs,
arthritis, myofascial pain, postherpetic neuralgia, chronic post-surgical or
post-traumatic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, painful diabetic neuropathy
and cancer pain.
We offer a comprehensive
range of services for patients with chronic pain. In addition to common
treatments such as epidural injections, nerve blocks and trigger point
injections, we are also looking forward for more advanced interventions such as
radiofrequency, thermoablation, neurostimulation as well as intrathecal drug
delivery system.

Most patients have already been seen by their primary care physician and other
specialists by the time they present to our pain program. Many patients are self
referred. Please feel free to contact our office to setup your initial
evaluation. Depending on your history we might recommend: additional studies,
medication management, an interventional pain procedure, physical therapy, or
behavioral therapies. Adequate time will be allowed to answer all of your
questions. |
Physical Therapy |

Physical therapy can help to reduce pain, restore exercise tolerance, physical
well being, strength, and range of motion. Depending on your painful condition,
physical therapy may be appropriate |
